Kadeem Hardison, Now 57 Years Old, is From Brooklyn and Has Been Acting For 40+ Years

Kadeem Hardison, best known for his role as Dwayne Wayne on the 1980s TV sitcom A Different World, is now 57 years old. That means that the Brooklyn native has been acting for more than 40 years.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, Hardison is the only child of a pioneering African-American runway model, Bethann Hardison, and his father, Donald McFadden, an antique and fine art collector Donald McFadden. In the beginning, his career was managed primarily by his mother, Bethann Hardison.

Hardison's career did not end after A Different World ended in 1993 with more than 144 episodes. From 2015 to 2018, he also starred as Craig Cooper in a Disney Channel series called K.C. Undercover. He also starred in the short-lived sitcoms Abby and Between Brothers.

In addition, he has appeared as a guest star on several other sitcoms, including Everybody Hates Chris and Living Single, Girlfriends, Under One Roof, The Boondocks, Parenthood, and Grown-ish. In 2022, he was cast in an AMC+ sci-fi series called Moonhaven.

From 1997 to 2000, Hardison was married to singer Chanté Moore. They have a daughter together named Sophia. 

Also, he remains close friends with actor Darryl Bell, who played his best friend, Ron Johnson, on A Different World.
