Robert From 'Cosby Show,' Now 53 Years Old, Starring in Soap Operas and 'Queen Sugar'

Actor Dondré Terrell Whitfield, best known as Robert Foreman, Vanessa's boyfriend in the 1980s TV sitcom The Cosby Show, is now 53 years old. Born in Brooklyn, New York and attended the infamous High School of Performing Arts in New York City.

After his breakout role on The Cosby Show, he went on to play Terrence Frye in the ABC daytime soap opera, All My Children which has been on the air since 1970. For his role, he earned nominations for three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series and two Soap Opera Digest Awards.

Dondré has also starred in several short-lived sitcoms which include The Crew (1995-1996), Between Brothers (1997-1999), and Hidden Hills (2002–2003).

He also has appeared in several films such as Two Can Play That Game (2001), The Salon (2004), and Middle of Nowhere (2012). He even appeared alongside his wife Salli Richardson in a film called Pastor Brown.

In 2015, he joined the cast of the BET reality comedy series Real Husbands of Hollywood, and in 2016 began starring in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series, Queen Sugar, for which he won an NAACP award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a drama series.

He is also the author of a book entitled Male Vs. Man: How to Honor Women, Teach Children, and Elevate Men to Change the World available on Amazon
