Phase II Managing Director|
Maintains organization reputation by ensuring that staff are conforming to all industry related standards and applicable regulations; maintains confidentiality; and works with clients or other stakeholders to carry out projects, portfolios, and programs on an as needed basis. Is responsible for bidding of work, mobilization and staffing of projects, and client deliverables that conform to CBRE ACS standards. Understands and drives Phase II work that may include (but is not necessarily limited to) assessment and business evaluation analysis by conducting the following:
Direct collection and laboratory analysis of surface soil, sediment and water;
Borings and monitoring wells for collection and analysis of subsurface soil vapor, soil, and groundwater;
Investigation of potential environmental impact sources such as drums, waste burial, underground storage tanks, structures, dry wells, galleries, drains, or other infiltration structures; geophysical studies; and shallow and subsurface surficial and sub-surficial soil analysis & borings, or groundwater analysis & monitoring, drum sampling, dry well sampling & monitoring or installing monitoring wells, or ; and
Indoor air sampling, mold sampling, asbestos sampling, lead sampling, or other environmental sampling and monitoring needs as identified by clients or stakeholders.
Ability and experience with state-of-the-science soil vapor investigation, risk assessment, and mitigation preferred. Looks for opportunities to expand capabilities into new related arenas, including remediation.
Directs the planning, organization, and controls for a Phase II Group business line by strategizing and implementing group goals, managing staff, managing accounts, and developing business relationships within the larger CBRE family. Develops strategy in conjunction with CBRE ACS Managing Director of National Due Diligence to expand and grow national Phase II platform and implements same. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Determines, monitors, and reports on staffing levels, utilization, and deployment of human resources within area of responsibility. Identifies key positions within area of responsibility and works with executive team and HR to develop effective growth and succession plans. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level of management for review and approval. Provides guidance and leadership to staff in areas of staffing, selection training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, and rewarding performance and retention of key contributors. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's RISE values.
Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university required. Graduate degree and professional registration preferred.
A minimum of (12) years of environmental physical and financial risk evaluation background required. Institutional review experience is a plus.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches, and articles using distinctive style.
Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management, and/or public groups.
Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates for delivery to clients and management.
Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures.
Approves and oversees department/division budget. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
Must be proficient in all MS Office products including MS Word and MS Excel with excellent writing skills.
Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results.
Responsible for setting project, department, and/or division deadlines.
