About KIPP Jacksonville Schools
KIPP Jacksonville Schools is dedicated to preparing students in our city’s educationally underserved communities with the knowledge, skills, habits, and character for success in college and life. KIPP Jacksonville is comprised of three schools that serve the North and Westside of Jacksonville, Florida: KIPP Impact Middle School, KIPP VOICE Elementary, and KIPP Jacksonville Elementary. We currently educate more than 1,000 students. With an ever-growing waiting list, we aim to grow to 2,000 students within the next four years. In the 2018-19 school year, KIPP Impact Middle School will serve grades 5, 6 and 8, KIPP VOICE Elementary will serve K-4, and KIPP Jacksonville Elementary will serve K-3 (KIPP Jacksonville Elementary will add a new grade level on an annual basis).

KIPP Impact Middle School seeks a physical education instructor. This teacher will be responsible for teaching P.E. to students in grades 5-8 and assisting in other areas as needed. KIPP Impact is committed to providing a quality physical education program that will complement our rigorous academic program.
All teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing our curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with our families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their School Leader.
Relevant certification should also be indicated in the appropriate sections of the application.
All teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Schools work from 7:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Student hours are typically from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., although times vary by school. Every Wednesday is a student early release day (3:15 p.m.), allowing for teachers to participate in weekly professional development.
- Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Equivalent (K-12 Physical Education/Health)
- At least one year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom; two or more years highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Our compensation is very competitive and is commensurate with experience.
- Our current starting salary for a first-year Lead teacher is $50,000
