Project Manager (Retail)|
The purpose of this position is to manage Tenant construction to ensure timely
opening of retail stores.
Characteristics of responsible projects: Retail
Development, Re-Development and Renovation
Duration: Midterm (weeks to months)
Value: Typically < $2 Million USD
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Works directly with Tenant contractors and
superintendents throughout construction during Tenant improvements.
Demonstrates ability to identify project risks and implement
action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply
standard to moderately complex documents affecting construction projects,
including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters,
surveys and drawings.
Attends meetings and contributes to written
reports as directed by Project Lead.
Tracks progress of each project against goals,
objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances.
Carries out action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
Shift work may be assigned as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Minimum four years of related experience and/or
Ability to communicate effectively and
professionally with team members, Tenant, and contractors.
Ability to solve problems involving several
options in situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project
and construction practices.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with thorough understanding of
procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results
and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.
Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
