The purpose of this position is to perform clerical duties in accordance with the office procedures of individual departments. May include a combination of answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing or word processing, stenography, office machine operation, and filing. To be successful in this role an individual will need to have the following abilities; self-starter, solutions focused, and pressure management within a fast paced, deadline driven environment to meet customer requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May handle Administrative and Reception duties from time to time including scheduling, booking travel and expense report completion.
May maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.
Interacts professionally with clients both in-person and by phone. Answers telephones, direct calls, and take messages.
May open, sort, and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.
May compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities. May review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
Other duties may be assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelors or 4 year degree preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office in Outlook (including Calendar), Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, more specifically InDesign is a plus.
